Activity description
Stepping into
the Factory
Participants arrived to find themselves cast as the new leadership team of a fictional candy factory. With only “48 hours” to prove they could lead the business into an AI-powered future, teams from across 6-7 different organisations were tasked with tackling real workplace challenges using AI tools.
The immersive narrative gave the session momentum and purpose, turning the training into a shared story that connected participants from diverse sectors and backgrounds.

Real Tasks, Real Tools
Each team worked through a series of challenges grounded in the realities of everyday work. Every task demonstrated a specific functional use of AI.
Tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Firefly, Canva, and Lovable were introduced through practical use — not theory — so participants could test, compare, and refine their approaches in real time. Live demos and tailored handouts supported deeper understanding and stronger outcomes.
A Personal Value Framework
To move beyond one-off experimentation, participants built a personalised Value Framework—a tool that helped them pinpoint exactly where AI could save time, reduce effort, and increase impact in their own roles.
This framework shifted the conversation from “how do I use this tool?” to “where does AI fit in my workflow?” Whether they were new to AI or experienced users, everyone walked away with a clear, role-specific strategy for turning AI into a lasting advantage at work.
