Getting Things Done
Unlocking Personal Productivity
Context
In close collaboration with Nike, we developed Productivity Unlocked:
a high-impact training designed to tackle one of the most universal challenges in leadership — how to manage workload with clarity, control, and confidence.
Delivered across 8 interactive sessions, the training combined quick-win productivity hacks with a structured deep dive into the Getting Things Done (GTD) system, giving participants the tools to work smarter, not harder.
Objectives
-
Master the GTD System: Enable managers to confidently apply the Getting Things Done framework to organise tasks, manage priorities, and reduce mental overload.
-
Apply Proven Productivity Hacks: Introduce science-backed habits and shortcuts—like the 80/20 rule and one-touch technique—that improve focus and execution.
-
Reduce Reactivity and Distraction: Help leaders adopt structured decision-making to handle interruptions and stay focused on what matters most.
Format
-
In-person workshop
-

Activity description
From Overload to Action
The session began with a clear goal: help leaders take control of their day-to-day work.
We started by looking at common challenges—too many tasks, constant interruptions, and shifting priorities. From there, participants explored a set of practical productivity hacks designed to make an immediate difference to their workday.
Each hack was paired with a short, hands-on exercise to help them pick the hacks that fit their own work best.

A System That Scales
The second half of the training focused on a system that helps leaders manage their work with structure and ease.
Participants were introduced to the Getting Things Done (GTD) method in seven simple levels—beginning with a basic to-do list and building up to full project and calendar planning.
By the end, they had a complete toolkit for working with greater focus, clarity, and consistency.
Tools That Stick
Every participant received a toolkit covering each productivity hack and the GTD system. The training was built for immediate impact — and it delivered. Across 8 sessions, over 300 Nike leaders rated the experience 4.25 out of 5, with many planning to apply the tools straight away.
Productivity Unlocked gave leaders the confidence and systems to manage their workload with more clarity, focus, and follow-through.
