Networking Skills Training
Context
Enterprise Ireland wanted to equip participants with practical networking skills they could use immediately — but without an existing internal framework or training to build on.
The challenge was to create both the content and the experience, then bring them to life inside the Churchill War Rooms in a way that felt authentic to the venue and relevant to the audience’s real-world networking needs.

Activity Description
Building the Network Playbook
The experience began by introducing a networking framework built specifically for Enterprise Ireland. Participants explored how networking moments arise, how to analyse them, and how to take action that creates value.
From that foundation, we built 6 practical networking skills, each supported by concrete tactics, templates, checklists, and reflection tools participants could use to act with greater purpose and plan their networking more intentionally.
Bringing the Venue to Life
To connect the learning to the venue, the experience was framed as an intelligence mission set inside the Churchill War Rooms.
Teams solved mini-puzzles, unlocked mission materials, and gathered pieces of intelligence that helped them crack their own Enigma-style digital escape box.
The result was a format that made the venue feel integral to the learning, while ensuring the real substance stayed rooted in Enterprise Ireland’s world.
Applying the Framework to Real Situations
At the heart of the day were realistic workplace scenarios drawn from Enterprise Ireland’s world. Teams worked through fictional but highly recognisable situations that reflected the kinds of networking moments they face in real life.
Using the framework and skills, participants had to decide how to approach each moment, which tactics to apply, and how to create value.
By the end, they left with a practical playbook, clearer next steps, and a memorable shared experience grounded in real work.
