The AI Readiness Challenge

Context
P&G’s Mechelen plant wanted to help its teams build confidence with AI through hands-on experimentation. The goal was to make AI accessible, practical, and directly tied to the realities of plant operations.
We designed an immersive, gamified experience built entirely on P&G’s AI home-stack. Through interactive challenges, teams learned how to use internal AI tools to solve real business problems, build practical prompting skills, and view AI as an everyday partner in innovation.

Activity description
Setting the Scene
The day began with a fictional mission: a chocolate factory in Puebla needed urgent support — and the Mechelen team had just 24 hours to help it become future-ready using AI.
Before the challenges began, participants explored how to brief AI effectively using a simple prompting model — defining the role, context, task, and format needed to get better, faster results.

Exploring AI
in Action
Working in teams, participants took on a series of fast-paced, practical challenges built entirely on P&G’s internal AI home-stack.
They used AI to research industry insights, write content, plan workflows, and visualise ideas — all while discovering how these tools could simplify work, inspire creativity, and support problem-solving across the plant.
Fueling Collaboration and Competition
Throughout the experience, teams shared their outputs on a live interactive wall where peers voted for standout ideas, while facilitators awarded points for creativity and impact.
The result was a high-energy, highly rated experience that brought AI closer to the work — and the people — it’s meant to support. Teams left with a shared mindset, a simple prompting model, and practical confidence using internal tools to deliver real outcomes.
